Hi,

Yves-Alain is busy these days, I will take over.

Could you have a look on the windows event viewer ? There may be a problem with IIS that causes unexpected IIS restart, that could explain this behavior.

If the event viewer didn't give anything, could you send me credentials via private message ? We are curious to understand this issue.

I can give you a login and password from the site, that you have tested.
There is not only this problem, there are a lot of problem.
For example: I can't change store configuration.

Hi,
Sorry for the delay, we have been really busy yesterday.
We are not sure ti understand what the problem is. We tried to reproduce on the demo instance of the back-office available here : http://demo.magelia.org/admin and we managed to change currency. You are welcome to try it by yourself.

On the screencapture that you sent, there are two pieces of info. missing :

the customer set must be filled out. If you are working on a fresh install, simply enter a name for the customerset
in the localizations part of the screen, the name of the store is not correctly filled out. You need to first enter a name and then CLICK on the + button located at the end of the line.
Once you have done that try to change the currency.

If you have the feeling that the form resets, then first choose the currency and then enter the name of the website (+DO NOT FORGET to click on the + button) and then enter a customerset name and finally save.

Let us know if these solutions worked for you.

The Customers/References section of our magelia.org provides a few examples of live e-commerce sites.
There are a lot that of Magelia WebStore powered websites that we are not aware of, or that we accidentally identify such as http://retroburger.co.uk/ which provides a nice Orchard + Magelia example.

Hi,
You have two options :

If you want one single solution that includes the content management directly in Magelia WebStore, you need to purchase the Professional or Entreprise Edition.
If you want to benefit from content management feature and use the free communuty edition, then Orchard + Magelia will be your best choice.

Hi,
This is a very good point and we have planned this feature for a future release. Iit will not be available before 3 to 6 months because we will provide a lot of additional features to products and orders management in the same release.
If you had a limited number of proucts with only a few product attributes you would create variants but sincce you have a lot af products and attributes, there is no easy way to do what you want.

Hi,

In order to display a “Catalogs and Categories” widget on a default layer of your Orchard instance and to redirect to another page (for example “~/Catalog”) displaying the “Product List” widget, I invite you to overwrite the views: “/Modules/Magelia.WebStore/Views/CategoryItem.cshtml” and “/Modules/Magelia.WebStore/Views/CatalogItem.cshtml” to prefix the URLs generated by the path of your page.

For the “Product List” widget to automatically filter products in function of the selected category in the “Catalogs and Categories” widget, you must first configure the “Catalogs and Categories” widget without checking “General URLs for catalogs and categories,” then the “Product List” widget by checking “Automatically display a list of products based on the choice of a catalog or category in the Magelia WebStore Catalogs and Categories component,” and by choosing the “Catalogs and Categories” widget in the dropdownlist that will be displayed.

You will find an overwriting example of the view “CategoryItem.cshtml” in the running theme (Themes/TheThemeMachine/Views/CategoryItem.cshtml)

Hi,
I have a similar problem :
I want to have the "Categorie" Widget in my layer "default" and a page "Catalog" with the "ProductList" Widget...

I have checked in "Catalog hierarchy settings" of my Widget "Categories" the check-box "Generate URLs for catalogs and categories"
and i have tested to configure with this :
Catalog URL pattern : ~/Catalogue?catalog={Catalog.Code}
Category URL pattern : ~/Catalogue?catalog={Catalog.Code}&category={Code}

But the problem is that the productList displays all the products whatever the category selected.

When i go in the Widget ProductList after to have checked the checkbox, in the part "Product list settings", there isn't anymore "categories" widget in the list "Magelia WebStore Catalogs and Categories component"...

how did you change your CategoryItem.cshtml or CatalogItem.cshtml to solve the problem ?

Thank you for the very detailed walk through.

I've created a new page and layer for every category, which is a very good feature if you want different content for each category. It would be good if you could have seo friendly urls without having to do this though.

Anyway I've come across a couple of issues, categories with spaces in do not work with dashes (orchard default), so I had to add dashs to them in the webstore (not ideal). Also the category code appears to be case sensitive in the category widget, so there is no active menu item when the url is case sensitive.

Nice to heard that you finally find a solution :-)

For the encoding problem, it seems to be related with Orchard. Could you verify that the .po file is saved using UTF-8 encoding ? If the issue is still present, let's have a look with fiddler, maybe it will give you tips on how to resolve the encoding issue.

I have localized the .po files, i have found how to translate the information which was in the EditorTemplate folder...
There are just some issues when i translate a word with an accent when this word is used in javascript.
If I put a é (for example) : he isn't translate, if i leave the character with accent, the result is �.
I have put character without accent for the moment.

I have found some little issues :
